Upoko Architects is an architecture practice based in Lyall Bay, Wellington, New Zealand. The studio was founded by architects James Warren and Peter Show.
James Warren is a Registered Architect and has worked in the design and building industry for 25 years. Many of the projects he has worked on have won awards from the New Zealand Institute of Architects.
Peter has over 25 years’ experience in the building industry. After training and working as a carpenter, and traveling overseas for a number of years, he returned to New Zealand to complete an Architecture Degree at Victoria University – graduating in 2002 and becoming a registered Architect in 2010. After graduation Peter moved to Waiheke Island, and worked for a local architect on a large number of residential projects. Now Peter has returned to Wellington after a year traveling through Canada, the USA and Australia, and has gone into practice with friend and fellow Architect James Warren.
