Curious Practice

About Curious Practice

Curious Practice are amateur architects. To become a professional is to become obsolete as there is an acceptance that there is nothing left to learn. Curiosity marks a desire to investigate, be inquisitive, interested and eager. It is through this process we are able to broaden our understanding of historical context and generate ideas that respond to our current environment. It also enables us to evolve, develop and refine. Information discovery plays a central role in our application of design and practice enabling us to build on the skills we have already obtained. For each project we adapt a research-by-design approach where a design problem is carefully mapped and understood before investing any number of ideas and design possibilities that form a coherent and unique response.
