This Manhattan loft space is located in a building originally constructed as a bank in 1873. Because of this, the space wasn’t particularly well set up as a home, but it had enormously large windows, beautiful original woodwork and flooring, and an ornate structural column mostly still in tact.

Denise Lee Architect is a Brooklyn-based architecture and design studio committed to making meaningful contributions to the built environment. The work of the studio is focused on finding the most elegant and thoughtful solutions to a particular set of needs, with the belief that joy can be created in unexpected places.
Denise is a native Texan and a registered architect in New York State and New Jersey. After 9 years at Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, she established her own practice in 2014. Her experience at TWBTA included a campus for Tata Consultancy Services in Mumbai, India, the Haverford Student Residences at Haverford College, and high-end residences in Manhattan and Southampton, NY.
