Ene+Ene Arhitectura

Ene+Ene Arhitectura is an architectural partnership between two people that have started working together since they have met in architecture school.

Over the course of time, our professional interests have diversified, originally starting with interior architecture, visual identities, and lately with residential and office buildings, always avoiding to specialize in any particular architectural field.

From the start, architectural competitions have been an important part of our work, viewed as a form of architectural research, as well as a means of access to new commissions.

Our current architectural preoccupations focus around understanding and integrating ideas such as identity, place, and tradition.

Adela Ene studied architecture at Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest, Romania, where she graduated in 1996 and obtained a Master of Architecture degree in 1997. She has been a member of the Romanian Chamber of Architects since 2001, and of the Romanian Architect’s Union since 1997.

In 1998, in partnership with Mihai Ene, they have established their own practice, Trans/Form Architecture and Design, a name under which they worked until 2005, when they founded Ene+Ene Arhitectura.

Mihai Ene studied architecture at Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest, Romania, where he graduated in 1996, obtained a Master of Architecture degree in 1997, and a Doctorate in 2007. He has been a member of the Romanian Chamber of Architects since 2001, of the Romanian Architect’s Union since 1997, and also Vice President of the Bucharest Chamber of Architects between 2010-2014. He is currently associate professor at Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism, Architecture Faculty, in Bucharest, Romania, where he has been teaching since 1996.
