Ghislaine Viñas Interior Design

Born in the Netherlands and raised in South Africa, Ghislaine Viñas began her design journey studying interior design at Philadelphia University. After graduating and moving to New York City, she started out designing commercial office spaces and later established her firm in 1999 when commissioned to do a complete build out of a 9,000 sq-ft office and art gallery in the Starrett Lehigh Building in New York’s Chelsea art district. Since then the studio has completed many residential, commercial and hospitality projects ranging from apartments, townhouses, lofts, offices and even a coffee shop in New York City, to offices and homes in Los Angeles, New Jersey, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and a private yacht in Florida.
Ghislaine Viñas is driven daily by her passion for design, color and unique attitude towards problem solving. Her team thrives on collaboration and experimentation in conceiving design solutions for clients, whether it be residential, hospitality or commercial projects.
Ghislaine currently lives in TriBeCa, New York with her husband and two children.

After reconnecting with childhood friend Karen Barrows, wife of Barrows Advertising chairman Richard Barrows, Ghislaine Viñas Interior Design began designing their NYC office. The concept for the advertising company was to merge its South African roots with its gritty and soulful Soho neighborhood vibe to create a fresh and dynamic workspace.
