Fletchers Mill House is a new residence and guest house located on a knoll overlooking a meadow that slopes gently down to the Thornton River. The compound formed by the two structures is the terminus of a long and level plateau flanked by woods, and of a new entry drive.

Richard Williams received his BA from Harvard University, graduating with high honors in 1977. He pursued additional studies at the University of Edinburgh Graduate Dept. of Urban Design and Regional Planning, and received his M. Arch degree at the University of Virginia School of Architecture, with highest honors. He founded the firms of Williams & Dynerman in 1986, and in 1999 Richard Williams Architects, PLLC.
