Christine Francis is a Melbourne based photographer specialising in interiors, architecture, design, people and landscapes. She graduated in 2002 from a bachelor of visual communication (photography & digital imaging) from the University of Western Sydney. Her clients range from solo practitioners through to large scale firms. Published in international design and architectural publications, her work has taken her across the country and overseas.

Forest Bathing is a full renovation and extension to a South Melbourne heritage terrace house. The project celebrates the ancient Japanese practice of taking time to unwind and connect with nature – known as ‘shinrin-yoku’.
The Shadow house had to offer privacy from the busy south facing side street whilst benefit from northern sunlight. Therefore, the new monolithic form is windowless to the south side street with the ground floor set back to the south boundary.
The Two Halves House on Silverwattle Drive is divided in to two pavilions of exactly the same size. The upper level pavilion houses the sleeping areas, whilst the lower level is the kitchen, meals, living spaces and garage.
