I make my living as an assistant fire chief for a suburban Twin Cities fire department – my passion, however, is photography. A self-taught photographer, I learned to take pictures at a young age using a Pentax camera my father brought home from Vietnam. I later honed my skills photographing fires throughout the Twin Cities. My first published photo came in 1994, in a national firefighting magazine. Since then, I’ve become an accomplished photographer, shooting landscapes, sports and news events.
