The Oleander house offers several points of connection with the outside: the porch on the first floor serves as a welcoming element, and the dining room that opens onto the garden provides a union with the outdoors.
The Kingsland House project is an extensive remodel and addition to an existing house built in the 1940’s on a steep Lot with expansive views to the South. The complete renovation includes re-framing the entry, providing a more open kitchen and a new stairwell connection to the Lower Floor.
Starting with a vacant lot with a very steep down-slope from the street, the design of the Car Park house places the carport on the roof with the residence below. In addition to being a dramatic shift of expectations, it is also a logical response to the building code which requires parking for two vehicles.
The Admiral House combines sustainable and eco-friendly building practices such as; cross ventilation, gray water collection planters, and passive solar building design that takes into account site location and solar orientation to maximize natural light in the house while also maintaining a low house temperature.
Located directly uphill from the iconic music venues of the Sunset Strip, LOHA updated a 1939 Hollywood home by opening up the internal layout to a new series of layered indoor-outdoor spaces enclosed by a translucent screen.
The Mulholland house on the cusp of a fold in the Hollywood Hills identifies the differential complexity of the steep hillside as its functional and formal generator. The stark, rigid appearance enters a dialogue with the landscape, defining itself as a real object through the process of alienating its context.

This spartanly modern house in the hills of Echo Park was outfitted with the essential furnishings and touches of modern bohemian decor. Interior designer Natalie Myers, of Veneer Designs, had the opportunity to redesign a two-bedroom Echo Park house, in said community, and the result was truly something special.
