The Glass Residence is a new build house which references the form and materiality of the surrounding agricultural buildings. The house is designed to embed itself in a historic brick garden wall – a remnant of a former grand country estate. New brick walls hold the gable ends of the building, and anchor it to the site, reading as extensions to the historic wall. The house is orientated to maximise the southern aspect and address the garden to the south, whilst maintaining views towards the north paddocks and fields.
