Studio Marchetti
Studio Marchetti’s projects include new houses, townhouse restorations, loft residences, apartment reconfigurations, and commercial offices. The firm also designs furniture, lighting , and other custom objects.
Before establishing Studio Marchetti, Steve was a partner in Peix & Marchetti Architects, where his New York City residential practice was established and refined over sixteen years. Prior to this partnership, Steve worked for over seven years at Cesar Pelli & Associates on such projects as the National Airport in Washington, D.C.; a major hotel in Fukuoka, Japan; academic buildings for Princeton and Yale Universities; and one of the world’s tallest buildings, Petronas Twin Towers, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Steve is a registered architect in New York and Connecticut, as well as a member of NCARB.
This modern rustic house was commissioned by a young NYC family. Sited on a hill in Dutchess County NY, the house is designed as a series of pavilions that slide past one another to capture the wonderful views across the property. A pool and pergola extend the house’s spirit out into the landscape.
