OAD Interiors is owned and operated by Melissa Anderson out of Brooklyn, NY. Melissa holds a BFA from Laguna College of Art and Design, an MFA from the New York Academy of Art, and an AAS in Interior design from The Fashion Institute of Technology. Melissa worked as a color specialist for acclaimed artist Jeff Koons in his Chelsea studio for many years. She also worked as an interior designer at the global architecture and design firm Perkins + Will, with clients such as NYU Langone and Barclays. Melissa is a LEED Green Associate and puts LEED principles to work for her clients.
OAD Interiors loves to repurpose whenever possible, favors recycled materials and locally made products. Guided by a balance of creativity and functionality, OAD delivers unique yet practical design solutions.

When a young couple decided to start their life together in Cobble Hill Condo, they wanted an interior that felt grown-up yet lively. Consequently, OAD Interiors responded with an open plan that unifies the living and dining areas while allowing each space to feel distinct.
NY Lake House sits on a lake with sprawling cliff views at the edge of the Mohonk Preserve. The home was purchased to serve as a retreat for its owners and we wanted the interior to really reflect that.
The design was kept more minimal to allow the user/viewer to spend time with each unique piece while the use of curves carry you gently through the space.
Coming from a compact Lower East Side walk up apt with a third child on the way, OAD Interiors wanted to be sure this home felt spacious and would be a house the family could grow in.
For their Williamsburg Condo Renovation, the homeowners asked OAD Interiors to create a space that felt both warm and bright. Consequently, the design team introduced materials and finishes that bring a soft, welcoming glow. They also collaborated with local makers, ensuring the project captured the spirit of the neighborhood.
As long time residents of Williamsburg, the owners wanted a space where their extended family who reside in the same building could all gather.
