Studio JCI
Born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in South India, Jaegap Chung began studying architecture at the University of Oregon and completed his education at the University of Toronto, where he received his Bachelor of Architecture.
Jaegap has developed his keen sense of design and project management through his work with a number of prominent Toronto architectural firms, including Giannone Architects, Montgomery Sisam Architects, and Hariri Pontarini Architects, where he worked on a variety project types and specialized in high-end residential design and project management.
In 2006, Jaegap founded Studio JCI with partner Sue Jean. He has an intuitive understanding of proportions and pays careful attention to craftsmanship and materiality, while being able to create design opportunities in unexpected places. Building on these architectural skills is his ability to forge collaborative relationships across disciplines, streamlining communication and maximizing both the value and quality of a project.
