Quarter House by TE Architects
Quarter House is a multigenerational home on the River Bourne with a complex brief to accommodate grandparents on the ground floor with daughter and grandchildren on the first.
About TE Architects
TE-A specialise in designing homes, from one-off houses and multi-unit schemes, to extensions and conversions of existing buildings. We work in urban and rural contexts, in conservation areas and areas of outstanding natural beauty. Our work is driven by contextual research, site conditions and above all a rich and collaborative relationship with the homeowner/client. We are problem solvers and enjoy distilling complex briefs into contemporary, functional and engaging environments.
We create timeless architecture, where form and materials reflect the site’s physical and cultural context. We design spaces that are bright and beautiful, but also adaptable which ensures the use of the house can evolve to meet changing requirements. We design houses as places to live but also as places to work.
TE-A practice across London and the south-east, with a particular focus in south west London, through the suburbs to Kingston upon Thames and Guildford, Surrey. We undertake a select number of projects, all led by practice founder Thomas Evans, from concept and feasibility to technical design, tender and construction.
