PERCH House / KUBE Architecture

PERCH House, designed by KUBE Architecture, sits on a steeply sloped site, framed at the back by a high retaining wall and offering sweeping views of trees and the city beyond. With their first child born during the design process, the owners wanted to expand the home to accommodate their growing family while fully embracing the unique site.

Plover House / Fuse Architects

Originally designed in 1968 by AIA architect George Coty, Plover House has been reimagined by Fuse Architects as an open, light-filled retreat along the coast. Once a cedar-clad, bunker-like space, the house has transformed into a welcoming haven that captures sweeping ocean views and embraces sustainability.

Rana Estate / Fuse Architects

In the scenic Carmel Valley, Rana Estate by Fuse Architects showcases architecture that truly enhances the beauty of California’s central coast. Inspired by the area’s rolling hills, oak trees, and madrones, along with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, the architects chose a natural palette of materials and colors to harmonize with the surrounding landscape.

Orcas Retreat House / Allied8

Orcas House, designed by Leah Martin, co-founder of Allied8 Architects, is a modern linear home cantilevered off a cliff, offering breathtaking views to the north and south. Blending seamlessly with its natural surroundings, the aging Kebony on the exterior matches the bark of nearby trees, while the bright, monochromatic interior provides a modern and airy feel.
