Situated in the lush forest of Mount Abantos, it gazes upon the majestic Escorial Monastery. Moreover, it underscores ÁBATON’s dedication to empathetic and environmentally responsible design.

The Golf Architecture Project owes its name to the serene views of a golf course it boasts. This feature, alongside the preexistence of trees on the site before construction, served as a starting point for the project, as well as a clear objective: to respect the vegetation in the layout of the house and use its potential to frame the positioning of the new residence

This 700 square meters isolated single-family house, with a CLT wood structure, was designed for a family with small children who trusted Ábaton for the project. In this case, the studio developed the interior design and landscaping projects, as well as took care of the architecture and construction.

The owners of this dwelling wanted to build an ABATON house, but it was crucial for them from the very beginning to achieve the feeling of a “home”. This is why we thought it would be better to refurbish an existing house with a consolidated plan and garden that would later accommodate the contemporary architecture that we proposed.

Abandoned Stable Converted into a Family Home

In the scenic province of Cáceres, Ábaton Arquitectos took on the challenge of converting an abandoned stable into a modern, sustainable family home. Situated high on a hill, this remote location, far from city water or electrical infrastructure, required a thoughtful design approach that would respect and harmonize with the surrounding environment.
