This home was inspired by “Kintsugi”, the Japanese art of filling cracks in old and worn pottery with gold. It is a remodel and addition project at the base of the Colorado Rockies. We transformed an old, cramped kitchen, living, and dining space into a seamless, modern main level.

The “before” images offer a measure of the proverbial hill we were tasked to climb. The landscape was overgrown, the exterior stained and worn. The entry door was at the lower level, in the building’s intersecting corner, behind shrubs and volunteers – unseeable upon entry.

Nestled in the scenic landscape of Durango, Colorado, Lean-Three Retreat by architect Cavin Costello of The Ranch Mine reflects simplicity inspired by lean-to structures. Named “Lean-Three” after its three main volumes, the design balances functionality with a strong connection to nature.

Nestled in Boulder, Colorado, Sunset Bungalow is a beautifully restored post-war home that honors its rich history while incorporating modern design elements. Designed by FLOWER Architecture, the project focused on maintaining the street-facing facade of the 1950s concrete block and brick bungalow, while completely transforming its interior.

Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie Office, Denver

Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie (LRRC), a firm with over 120 years of heritage in Denver, sought to reimagine its office space to reflect its evolving culture and connect with a new generation of attorneys. Designed by Anderson Mason Dale Architects, the firm’s new office, located on the top floors of McGregor Square in Denver’s LoDo (Lower Downtown) district, symbolizes the firm’s intent to merge tradition with modernity.

Mile High Flood District / Kestrel Design Group

In celebration of 50 years of dedicated service to Denver and its surrounding areas, the Mile High Flood District sought a new home that would reflect its mission and values. Faced with the choice between leasing office space or purchasing a building, the decision was made to acquire a 30-year-old, two-story structure.
