The project consists of the restoration of a stone-built building of 1864 located in the proposed traditional settlement of Pines in Elounda, Crete. The village was first inhabited in 1400-1550 AD by the Venetians.
The project’s intention was to reconstruct an old, two storey family residence placed in the center of Fira Village, which was initially built after the 1956’s earthquake of Santorini and expanded in height during the 80s’.

This traditional house in Tinos, originally built in 1910, has been lovingly reimagined as a modern home. Set in the mountain village of Falatados, each area of the renovated house plays on the original functions of the building and revives these spaces with a fresh and contemporary purpose.
