Villa Emma by Mario Mazzer Architects is a summer retreat located in Costa Smeralda, one of the most prestigious holiday spots. This house combines the conceptual rigour of a traditional Sardinian Stazzu with the client’s desire of having a warm house with valuable materials.
The 130sqm apartment is initially “emptied” through the demolition of all the elements without structural function and a new texture takes place: a lightweight structural wooden balloon frame.
For this apartment, set within a building from the late 1960 on Corso Sempione, the Turin-based duo has applied its immediately recognizable style to reinterpret a typical bourgeois Milanese home in a highly original way.
The Four Oaks Apartment project by BLAARCHITETTURA consists in the renovation of a residential unit, part of a prestigious 19th century building. The area is located on the right side of the old town of Cuneo
An ambitious project for a young couple like Matteo and Veronica, a personal trainer and a beautician who live in a small town near Pisa. They bought a very old building of 220 mq and almost 5 m high to realize their dream: a New York style loft.
The intervention is a recovery of an attic of a building in Turin whose final intention of the client is a main use for Airbnb. The project thus becomes an opportunity to create an environment that can accommodate future tenants in the best possible way and at the same time give them a moment of relaxation and peace.
