Mid-Century Home Renovated and Remodeled in Seattle

This project was a very thorough remodel of a mid-century house, originally designed by Portland architect William Fletcher. Before our clients purchased the home, it was owned by an artist and during our design process we kept in mind both the style of the house as well as the playful eye of its previous occupant.
Newtown House was recently renovated by Hindley & Co, an architectural and interior design practice based in Melbourne. This renovation to a mid-century house at the top of a valley in Newtown is all about the sweeping views of the surrounds, and the balance between the old and the new.
