Provincetown Slow Space by Aamodt / Plumb

Provincetown Slow Space by Aamodt / Plumb

Provincetown’s ethos is centered around art and inclusiveness and has become a haven for people who want to get away, to simply be themselves. This home was originally built as a single family in 1853 and in the twentieth century was converted, like many others, into a guest house to accommodate P-town’s many new visitors.

Lush Beverly Hills Bungalow / Abramson Architects

Blurring the edges between indoors and out, the re-design of this lush Beverly Hills Bungalow focuses on redistributing the home’s layout to create a welcoming internal courtyard. Once inside the entry vestibule, a series of well-composed sightlines establish a simultaneously elegant and informal entry sequence.

Fineway House / Alexander Brenner Architects

The modern villa was built on a plot of land on the outskirts of Reutlingen on a popular mountain trail, directly below the Achalm Mountain. To the north, towards this path, Fineway House appears like a stone, solid and closed and opens with floor-to-ceiling glazing to the view in the south.

High Desert Retreat / Aidlin Darling Design

Sited on a rocky desert plateau outside of Palm Desert, this residence is tightly nestled within a constellation of boulders, overlooking the Coachella Valley and the San Jacinto Mountain Range beyond. The diagram of the home is a triptych of elements: a floating roof plane, a collection of wooden volumes, and two concrete anchor walls.
