Wine Bar Dvojka / Jan Plecháč and Henry Wielgus
Dvojka is a small wine bar in Letná, Prague. We designed the interior of Dvojka for Richard Preisler with whom we’ve worked for a number of years on various commercial and non-commercial projects.
Studio Jan Plecháč & Henry Wielgus is a Prague-based architecture and design studio founded in 2012 by Jan Plecháč and Henry Wielgus, who met while studying at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Their work transcends boundaries between architecture, art, and design, resulting in projects that integrate conceptual rigor with poetic storytelling. The studio is celebrated for its inventive yet refined approach, often realized through product design, lighting, and interior interventions that evoke cultural memory and formal clarity.
Their portfolio spans furniture, lighting, installations, and exhibition design, frequently in collaboration with renowned brands like Lasvit, Cappellini, Menu, and galleries such as Rossana Orlandi. Notably, their ‘Neverending Glory’ chandelier series—based on iconic opera house forms—captures their talent for transforming architectural symbolism into elegant, functional objects.
