Trípólí is a Reykjavík‑based architectural practice founded in 2012 by Andri Gunnar Lyngberg Andrésson, Guðni Valberg, and Jón Davíð Ásgeirsson. Engaging in projects from urban masterplans to single‑family homes, the studio combines rigorous research and theoretical inquiry with ongoing collaboration among experts in diverse disciplines. This interdisciplinary dialogue informs every phase of design, ensuring solutions that are both innovative and contextually grounded.
Rooted in sensitivity to place, Trípólí prioritizes thoughtful exploration of form, structure, and material while respecting each site’s historical, social, environmental, and economic dimensions. Rather than following a fixed stylistic agenda, the firm adapts its approach to the unique character of every commission, also contributing to the field through research, writing, curating, and lecturing. The result is contemporary architecture that resonates with its surroundings and the needs of its users.
