Originally designed in 1985 by Lorcan O’Herlihy for his parents, Trancas House was tragically lost in the Woolsey fires that devastated Malibu in November 2018. Determined to rebuild, the owners enlisted Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects [LOHA] to design a new residence that would not only honor the home’s history but also incorporate fire-resistant and climate-conscious elements.
The current construction market often delivers “one-size-fits-all” solutions, producing uniform, neutral spaces that cater to broad appeal. Yet many people crave a unique, individualized home. TUR House by OOIIO Architecture challenges this trend by demonstrating how anyone can personalize a standard apartment with readily available materials, even when working within a limited budget.
Set on a two-acre wooded bluff along Lake Michigan, Meadow Lane Retreat is a weekend getaway designed to foster tranquility, connection, and immersion in nature. Moreover, the empty-nester clients sought “an escape from the city for the family to gather—a place for sunlight, a place to breathe.”
Nestled in the heart of Valencia, Curved Attic by Destudio Arquitectura takes full advantage of its circular envelope to showcase sweeping views over the historic Turia riverbed. The home’s curved façade inspired the project’s name, as well as its central design concept.
Inspired by Louis Kahn’s studies of geometric forms and natural light, as well as his preference for simplicity and functionality, the house’s square plan and circular staircase achieve a geometric harmony. The result is a sophisticated and soulful living environment that honors the beauty of its lakeside setting.

Time had visibly worn down the original 1990s structure of the Slabin Residence, prompting Christopher Jeffrey Architects to undertake a complete renovation. While the Clients had cherished the peaceful farmland surrounding their property, they decided it was time to update their home to suit modern living.
Our most recent project, ‘A Georgian Townhouse, Marylebone’ is situated within the terrace that surrounds the historic Dorset Square Garden in central London. Its proud façade is tucked behind the large London planes of the square. The building came to us blessed with many of its original features, including high ceilings, large sash windows and well-preserved decorative details.
