Curly House, nestled near a scenic lagoon in the Northern Beaches, was once a dark and chilly single-storey brick home. Seeking a more comfortable and energy-efficient space, the family embarked on a major renovation with Buck&Simple, aiming to bring natural light, sustainability, and enhanced amenities to their home.
The design of the Frank Macs bar was carefully considered to protect and enhance the highly significant heritage fabric. Techniques include using freestanding joinery, protective floor layers, and no fixings into the sandstone walls, carefully inserting the new design elements within the heritage framework.
Ainslie Cottage is a vibrant integration of colour and texture into an established family home. The home is a mid-century post-war government build that encapsulated the suburban dream of the era.
