Robbins Architecture is a design oriented architectural firm located in Winnetka, Illinois. Established by Celeste Robbins in 1995, the firm’s primary focus is on new home construction and residential renovations.
About Celeste Robbins
Celeste’s love for design and craft began at an early age. Growing up in Ohio, she would spend hours constructing elaborate forts using safety pins and blankets tucked into drawers. As she grew, so did her passion for architecture and design. She trained at Cornell University and spent several years working on the East Coast before returning to her Midwest roots and settling in Chicago.
Although the philosophy of “Less is More” is already taken, Celeste believes every design should be edited until the solution is meaningful, serene, and beautiful. She understands that a home needs to be as livable as it is elegant and she is passionate about incorporating nature into her designs. Inherent flexibility, modern livability, and timeless beauty define her work, resulting in harmonious spaces that fit her clients’ tastes and lifestyles.
While Robbins Architecture has grown to a staff of 10 with commissions across the United States, Celeste remains personally involved with each and every project – a hallmark of her dedication to her clients. Publications and awards aside, Celeste values most her repeat client relationships, word of mouth referrals, and the friendships she has made throughout her career.
