The KC apartment needed thorough renovation as many of the floors were sagging and there was no real modern comfort to be found. We proposed tearing down a dividing wall and recreating a central axis, as this was common in historical buildings like these.
Filip Cleynen trained at Sint-Lucas (Brussels). He has worked as an architect for several offices since 2000, most recently as project architect at Conix Architects (Antwerp). In 2007, he founded Set-Office Architects, a steadily growing architecture studio, and has brought together architects, engineers and designers for unique private clients and public projects.
