Nicole Blair was born in Austin, Texas, in 1974. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Textiles and Apparel from Cornell University in 1996 and worked in the NYC offices of Robert A.M. Stern and Peter Eisenman Architects before returning to Texas and receiving her Master of Architecture from Rice University.
In 2004, she founded Studio 512, an award-winning architecture and construction firm in Austin. Nicole Blair’s work has been published extensively, notably her 2015 project The Hive, which was featured in Architectural Record. In 2019, the Texas Society of Architects named Studio 512 one of 10 Emerging Practices in Texas, and Nicole Blair was included in Elle Decor Magazine’s A-list of Architecture as one of the 18 greatest living architects in the world alongside several Pritzker Prize winners.
Nicole believes the relationships built with clients, artisans, contractors, and subcontractors along the way are as important as the buildings themselves. She measures success not only by the end product, but also by how we get there.
Clean design and sleek lines transformed this condo unit into a modern marvel. Studio 512, Nicole Blair, and WishTree cabinets, Matt Prine and Stjepan Boban, worked in conjunction with all other trades to bring this design to life.
