The program organization comes from a wooden box, which includes: dormitory, bathrooms, kitchen and laundry. This volume assumes a sensitive quality, once that it seems to be fitted in the previous space.
Located in Bodrum, one-storied Mandarin Oriental 02 is designed by escapefromsofa in 2020. The project provides a unique view of Cennet Bay by wide openings. The view detail is also one of the important criteria that forms spatial organisation.
To deal with the form of a residential building in the middle of a small village, not a city, was an interesting challenge for us. The existing non-functional production area was also losing its sense in this location in terms of urban planning
This client hired us to do a complete facelift of a quintessential Soho loft. The Greene Street Loft had great bones but presented as very dated. The new design of the space emphasized the features that make an archetypal loft.
After the first conversation with the future resident, it was decided that the integration of the environments would be achieved through the use of a small material palette and that the furniture would, whenever possible, pass through more than one room.

The design was kept more minimal to allow the user/viewer to spend time with each unique piece while the use of curves carry you gently through the space.
