Originally, the building was conceived as two entities; a production space on the ground floor and an owner’s flat on the first floor with a private access.
House WADV is a good example of how a banal chalet can be refurbished to a contemporary single family house, without losing the initial holiday feeling and dialogue with its environment, on the contrary.
The BOPORO house had to be a place to retreat and completely unwind. In that respect, the covered terrace with patio forms the heart of the house.
The concept was around the idea of “a warm nest”, a space to come together, a welcoming space, not intrusive nor invasive. Focusing on calm gatherings, time to reflect, relax, regain strength, get together with loved ones, embark the journey to recovery in peace.
Designed by Studio Farris, Canal House Humbeek was created to substitute a preexisting building and makes the most of the available surface area by respectfully placing itself within the profile defined by the row of residential buildings facing the canal
JUMA Architects was commissioned to design a new house on a hill in the Flemish Ardennes. The north side of the plot offers stunning views of the surrounding fields with picturesque church towers in the distance.
The Riverside Tower is a high-rise development from the early 70s designed by Leon Stynen & Paul De Meyer, beautifully situated in the bend of the river Scheldt, a stone’s throw from the city center of Antwerp.
