BLDG Workshop
In Toronto, Muskoka and throughout Canada, BLDG Workshop pursues the goal of working with great clients who appreciate great design.
We get most excited about the idea of creating work that “feels”. Feelings of connectedness, warmth, family, light, joy and calm all contribute to what is considered a sense of place. Creating spaces that communicate and encourage these feelings is paramount to our work, and we pursue this end through responding to client needs, the site and its unique conditions.
At BLDG Workshop we feel the best way to create successful work is to embrace a collaborative relationship in which the client’s voice and ideas are heard and implemented. We believe that good design should respond to many fundamental and site specific principles; however, at the end of the day, your home should respond primarily to you.
Favourite projects often include custom homes, cottages and additions where the site includes natural features that can become integral to the overall design. We consider interior design, sustainability and landscape design as instrumental in our work as we approach projects holistically and in relationship to their context.

Nestled along the picturesque shoreline of Georgian Bay, Six Mile Lake Cottage by BLDG Workshop captures the essence of a peaceful retreat. Designed to harmonize with the natural landscape, this cottage creates a seamless connection between indoor spaces and the breathtaking surroundings.
The client owned property in the rolling hills of Caledon Ontario and wanted views to be framed over the countryside – allowing particular points of view and rejecting others with less-than- spectacular previously built features.
