The concept for the design is inspired by the allegorical image of a ‘monolith’ or ‘hot coal’ that has been perforated to create space for a home.
For the conception of the Jardin house, an enclosure of a central patio is used, which is surrounded by the domestic program: Common areas, studies and bedrooms are determined by the idea of nature inscribed in the patio.
Vimob was born from the notion of creating a shelter in an area of difficult access; a place where building a traditional construction would be limited by transport of materials and labor.
