LIEBEN bar is located on the second floor of No. 758 Julu Road. The exterior of the bar is covered by clear cement on the wall. The plain and tense concrete texture is a contemporary interpretation of the original charm.
Bankside Lofts, opposite the iconic Tate Modern building, was one of the first projects developed by the Manhattan Loft Corporation. They pioneered an unusual model, selling flats as ‘shells’ for owners to fit out themselves. Bankside Lofts was once of their earliest developments.
The extension of the Casa Golgota was made at a lower level, taking advantage of the terraces, using wood and concrete, clearly demarcating the addition and the original in chronological terms.
Our client for this project was hesitating as to whether she should move from her seemingly unfixable Pearl District apartment. When she visited another unit we had redesigned in the same building she decided to stay and transform it.
