In the city of Curitiba, Brazil, architect Simara Mello designed a stunning renovation for a 496m² apartment. The project was tailored for a young couple with children who enjoy hosting friends and family. The renovation aimed to refresh the semi-decorated space, previously designed by the construction company, while maintaining a clean, timeless style.
Nestled in one of Curitiba’s most renowned neighborhoods, the 170 m² apartment designed by Estúdio Elmor epitomizes urban sophistication and modern living. This extensive redesign captures the vibrant pulse of city life, balancing dynamic aesthetics with the comfort and warmth clients crave.
The main challenge of the project was to find the best layout for the apartment’s social spaces, ensuring enough storage space for the couple, without compromising the aesthetics or practicality of everyday life. Therefore, the main intervention of the project was the removal of the existing walls delimiting the kitchen and laundry room for a new layout arrangement.
