Commissioned by south London charity the Walcot Foundation, this build-to-rent development has significantly increased the rent income generated from the historic estate that funds their grants for the relief of poverty in the local area.
Marsh Edge House is set within a beautiful triangular end plot, at the point where the Norfolk Coastal Path and the local bird sanctuary meet.
The original house was a timber framed Colt House (see info below) extended by a previous owner with a two-storey brick addition in the 1990’s. The site is approximately a mile inland from the Suffolk Coast and surrounded by a number of individual residential properties set within generous well-established landscaped plots.
Situated in the far corner of a mews, our brief for this project was to create a contemporary family home. To respect the existing architecture of the mews, we designed a home that has a more traditional feel on the outside, with bricks and sash windows, but which has a distinctively modern feel inside.
Jackson Hole is perched high above the town of Jackson with wide views of the snow capped peaks and vast valley of the Grand Teton National Park. The house is designed by McLean Quinlan Architects, a leading architectural practice in the high-end residential sector.
