Set in beautiful Hampshire, the brief for this project was to design a cottage where friends and family could spend long periods of time just next door to the prime residence within the existing Farm.
This single-family home – Croft Residence – designed by Brian Wickersham and his firm, AUX Architecture, was designed to meet the economic demands of maximizing square footage while preserving indoor-outdoor living.
In the C5 Residence, the users’ choices and preferences configure the personality and functionality of this home. The main residents, a 9-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy, when asked what they would like the new house, were quick to say, “We want a garden to play with!”
