Located on a sloping, wooded plot of land in Charlevoix, Quebec, the Chez Léon residence, designed by Quinzhee Architecture, rises on stilts to reach the tops of the trees, thus enjoying views of the St. Lawrence River.
This is a family home in the Wellington suburb of Whitby, sitting amongst manuka forest and overlooking a relatively undeveloped bush filled valley. The owners were inspired by this setting and wanted a home with spaces that nestled amongst the trees.

Immersed in the woods, Buen Retiro is the restoration and expansion of an ancient stone ruin designed by the architect Dario Castellino from Cuneo. In complete harmony with the surrounding nature, it overlooks the Stura valley in Roccasparvera, in the province of Cuneo
The 1930’s Cape had undergone multiple renovations throughout the years by its previous visionary and eclectic owners. ERA chose to preserve and retain the layout and spirit of the house.
Atelier L’Abri presents Kanata Cabin, a silver-clad house distinguished by its simplicity and elegance amidst the forested hills of the Canadian Laurentians.
Sited to take in views of mountains to the east, west, and southwest, the 13,375-square-foot house’s windows blend the indoor and the outdoor, while energy-efficient geothermal heating keeps the house comfortable at a fraction of the typical carbon footprint.
Giant fir trees surround this spacious property on a gentle east-facing slope. Incorporating our client’s single-level living goals while still accommodating both master and guest suites created a strong circulation corridor on the property’s roadside.
