A Room in the Garden is part garden folly, part “other space”. It is intended to relieve the congestion of the urban home and provide a space for family members to work, play, read, sleep or to enjoy a moment of peace and quiet.
The client brief was to design a unique holiday cottage inspired by a ‘bird hide’ concept, nestled within the wild gardens of a Listed thatch cottage. The Hide establishes its language from a dilapidated outbuilding originally located within the site.
HGA Architects and Engineers has designed five wooden cottages in the Marlboro College campus, Vermont, USA. The cottages are ready to receive the musicians invited to attend at Marlboro Music Festival
