Boutique Art Hotel, The Schaller Studio is located in Bendigo, Victoria region, Australia, and it is part of the Art Series Hotels chain managed by the Asian Pacific Group, chain which comprises six hotels devoted to art. The hotel celebrates the work of the contemporary Australian artist Mark Schaller, inspired by its workshop.
The hotel is built of 66 prefabricated modules made of Hickory. By using a mobile crane, Hickory project team has managed to build the modules and lift the hotel in 6 days. The initial design, the experimental models and architectural documentation were done by Noel Robinson Architects, a firm with a lot of experience in the modular constructions.
The artistic imprint is present in both large common spaces and in the hotel rooms where we find the original artworks. Also the large sizes sculptures and mosaics found in the landscaped gardens encourage guests to immerse themselves in the process of artistic creation.
The Schaller Studio especially addresses to those with artistic spirit, offering the visitors a multifaceted inspired artistic experience, regular art classes, art tours and the organization of some markets for handmade creations. Inspired by the studio of a consecrated artist, Mark Schaller, the hotel is a place for contemplation, inspired and creative thinking. Via Art Series Hotel
