The project consisted of the conversion of an existing farm building dating from 1940. The farm building with a living room was located on a plot surrounded by greenery and old fruit trees in Rumia, in the Szmelta district
Designed for an avid polo player and his family, Millbrook Residence is a summer estate where the owner has built his own private polo field with accompanying horse barns and staff quarters for the property manager and seasonal horse groomers & polo field caretakers.
Set in native forest on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand, the aesthetic concept of BIV Punakaiki Cabin was a reinterpretation of a historic gold miners hut. The cabin took cues from the exterior chimneys of these huts. Internally, the top skylight represents the top of the smokestack.

Situated on a steep waterfront lot flanked by suburban context, the Four & Four House knits together the client’s affinity for mid-century, post-and-beam construction with contemporary adaptations.
