Our clients, a father and son, bought a light-filled, freshly renovated home in the Hawthorne neighborhood of Portland but needed new furnishings to fit. The previous renovation also included a new fireplace, with the firebox placed oddly high.
This existing 4,000sf cottage style home, built in the 1980s, was an ideal opportunity for an international family to make California their new home.

House OO is the transformation of a 40-year-old house that has been revitalized into a sanctuary of light, warmth, and space for family connection.
This is an exceptional project of a 44-year-old bachelor, a construction supervisor, who closely collaborates with architect Shirley Dan in managing her projects.
The premise of the project was to maintain the old facade of the house. The existing house was only 70m2 with rooms that did not ventilate since the construction reached the bottom of the land.
