Coral Collection – Pendant Lamps by Arturo Alvarez

Created by Spanish artist and designer Arturo Alvarez, Coral Collection includes pendant lamps inspired in the beauty of coral reefs. The models of the collection, with their different forms and the elegance of their lines, result ideal to light any kind of room.

Description by Arturo Alvarez: Very close to our factory, by the Ulla river, in Galicia, there is a special place. A green spot with exuberant vegetation and waters full of natural life, a magical location where, every 23 June, the summer solstice is celebrated with bonfires and rituals. We love getting involved in this beautiful tradition, and collaborate with the neighbours with an outdoor lighting setup every year.
The ‘San Juan’, at Areal de Berres, is a celebration deeply rooted in the Celtic tradition where music, fire and rituals are the central elements. And, of course, the purifying bonfire, which burns down and leaves behind the evil things and welcomes the new hopes.

This time Coral collection was chosen to shine in the shortest night of the year. Its organic look melted into the vegetation creating harmonious large chandeliers which illuminated an unforgettable night. A performance of light and fire closely tied to our environment and roots.
