Iberico Tapas Bar – Spanish Feel in the Old Center of Craiova

Iberico Tapas Bar is a project completed by Bucharest – based PickTwo Studio in Craiova, Romania.

Description by PickTwo: Spanish Inspired, Iberico Tapas Bar is located in an old reconditioned two storied house. The Ground Floor hosts the bar and the First floor action revolves around a central Tapas Bar.

As suggested in the name, we went for a Spanish feel and atmosphere for this place, situated in the old part of town with 1900s neo-classic houses. The bar is inside a small old house with was reconsolidated and converted to accommodate this function.

The basement hosts the kitchen and storage, the Ground Floor center piece is the main drinks bar and the first floor accommodates a wine and Tapas library. The design is a collage and mixture of different types of objects and finishes, chairs, plates, lamps, and Pablo Picasso sketch reproductions – all of Spanish inspiration.
