Established almost two decades ago in Portland, Oregon, Skylab Architecture is a band of makers — curious, industrious and experimental. We are architects, designers, creators and entrepreneurs working together across a wide range of landscapes and locations. Nestled in a lush Pacific Northwest wooded landscape this 1954 home renovation included maintaining the primary structure of the house with a full re-envisioning of the spaces of daily life.
The A-Frame Club is a new hotel brand that takes design cues from 1970s American ski culture and the iconic A-frame cabins of that era. The first Club consists of 31 newly-constructed cabins along with a bar and restaurant in a historic saloon building in Winter Park, Colorado.
The Columbia Building supports the City of Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services. Housing workspace, a visitor reception area, and public meeting spaces, the 11,640-square-foot building
The Taft House is a 3,930-square-foot, two-story, open plan house designed and built using HOMB, a prefabricated modular system developed by Skylab in collaboration with MethodHomes.
Designed to serve as catalyst for a sustainable, densely planned residential mountaintop village, Skylodge is a 5,500-square-foot event center built on a 10,000-acre ski mountain in Utah.

SINBIN is a creative house balancing both natural and built environments. At it’s core, the space inspires action and activity. It is purpose-built for playing, making, and collaboration of all types.
I have always dreamed of a house in the forest, surrounded by trees, where I can enjoy the peace and greatness that only nature can give to human beings.
