Space Architecture + Design (often styled SPACE) is a design-build architecture and construction studio based in St. Louis, Missouri, founded by Tom Niemeier in 2005. They operate as a fully integrated team combining architecture, interior design, general contracting, and fabrication — working “design-first” to ensure high craftsmanship, lasting materials, and value in their projects.
Their portfolio is especially strong in hospitality (restaurants, bars), as well as retail, commercial office, and select residential work in Missouri and Illinois. SPACE emphasizes early-budget transparency, collaboration among disciplines, fabricating custom elements in-house, and designing spaces that both function well and endure aesthetically.
