Tropical Space
Tropical Space is a Ho Chi Minh City–based studio offering master planning, architecture, landscape, and interior design services with a deep understanding of Southeast Asia’s cultural and climatic context. Founded in 2011, the practice specializes in creating buildings that respect the natural beauty of raw, local materials—especially small, handcrafted clay bricks—while fostering harmony between people, structures, and tropical nature.
Whether working on low‑budget homes or high‑end developments, Tropical Space rigorously balances site conditions, occupant needs, and financial constraints. Each project becomes a laboratory for innovation: testing vernacular materials’ forms, structural possibilities, and construction techniques to achieve durability and comfort in Vietnam’s hot, humid climate. By collaborating with skilled local artisans and prioritizing a symbiotic relationship with the environment, the studio consistently delivers context‑responsive architecture that thrives in its tropical setting.
