Walker Warner Architects provides complete architectural services for custom residential and estate design. Since its establishment in 1989 by Brooks Walker and Greg Warner.
We create enduring architecture for inspired living.
We believe architecture should be expressive, timeless, and always in unity with the natural beauty of the site. We understand that thoughtful designs emerge through the collaborative process of listening to, learning from, and engaging with our clients. Equally important is the study of the conditions and natural features of the landscape, the character of the existing structures, and the context created by the surroundings. Through this exploration, we gain a deep understanding of our client’s desires coupled with the possibilities offered by the site, which drives the design.
Our work is informed, from concept to completion, by the highest levels of quality, integrity, and craftsmanship. It begins with a conscientious selection of appropriate materials, dedication to innovative and proven building techniques, and sustainable practices that promote environmental responsibility. Our longstanding partnerships with leading landscape architects, interior designers, builders and artisan craftspeople allow us to design with continuity, precision, and unparalleled sophistication and beauty. “ The spirit of Walker Warner Architects’ designs always connect beautifully to the location. Proportion, innovative use of materials, and functionality are always present in their work, and the results are gently beautiful and highly livable. Whether based in tradition or in more contemporary expressions, their work always delivers a unique expression and a timeless result.”—Douglas Durkin, Douglas Durkin Design

The Kahua Kuili residence was conceived as a modern interpretation of a classic Hawaiian summer camp. The project site is located at the base of the island’s large cinder cone, Pu’u Kuili, and offers expansive views of the Pacific Ocean and Kua Bay as well as mountain views to Hualalai.
The Portola Valley Barn is a dynamic space, separate from an existing main residence, designed for large-scale entertaining as well as relaxation. Reminiscent of the tin-roofed, weathered rural vernacular of the picturesque surroundings, the compound comprises three primary structures connected by interstitial entryways containing a kitchen and powder room.
The Quintessa Pavilions are the newest addition to the Quintessa Estate, a winery and residence designed by Walker Warner Architects. The result is three, unique wine tasting pavilions that can be utilized year-round despite the weather.
Nestled on an east facing bluff of the Tiburon Peninsula, the Tiburon Bay View residence provides sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay while acting as a natural buffer from the road and neighboring houses.
