Craft is central to this project, once the home of a guitar maker and potter. The brief was to combine a warehouse and adjacent workers cottage into a single family home.
Collective house projected to receive two families + guests, where they could live together independently. “Together, but not scrambled” says the colloquial sentence that represents this commission.
Our clients briefed a generous new family home, integrated landscape, and pool for their Lilyfield site in Sydney’s inner west. The tight, sloping block had an enormous rockface stepping up the rear of the site and fronted on to a major transport intersection.
This Juniper House is located in the Seaview community of Fire Island. Our concept for the architecture was to create a corner building to frame outside space, as an extension of the inside.
