This modern energy efficient house was fabricated in Pennsylvania and transported to the site in East Hampton in five parts. Once on site, the parts were assembled and set onto the foundation and further finishes were installed.
The Lichen House nestles within the fog and oaks in the hills above California’s Sonoma Valley. The free-ranging branches of the site’s mature live and coastal oak trees support veils of draping Ramalina Lichen that filter sunlight, capture moisture and nutrients for their hosts, and remove pollutants from the air through photosynthesis.
Lilian H. Weinreich Architects has transformed the 36th and 37th floors of an existing post-war, residential tower in the premier upper west side of Manhattan, into a stunning 1,800sf duplex renovation. Designed for a retired couple with a love of classical music and ballet, it provides an urban retreat for their frequent visits to NY.
Richard King Design  were engaged to design and project-manage this house remodel, which took close to two years to complete. An aging federation cottage with a crude, 1990s lean-to was extensively demolished and extended into a two-level, contemporary house.
The design brief was for a small mountain cabin with a roof, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom – the necessities for resuming the mountain trek begun the day before. The proposal involved building, through planes and angles, a structure that provides an entrance through its folds and exterior views through its cuts.
Luxury single family home, new build, located in the heart of the Baix Empordà area. The house has 5 large suites, each with their own full bathroom. The main suite has a surface of 53 m², with a bedroom, bathroom and dressing room and offers magnificent views of the garden and the swimming pool, with access to the same.
They requested a house of permanent use with the special requirement that it should make it possible to live intensely the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, so appreciated by the clients. Another request expressed was that, although they were interested in a house built with exposed concrete, they wanted the presence of the wood to break that monochromatic expression.
