David Sundberg is actively involved with contemporary architecture and travels widely on assignment. Important work in the New York area includes Frank Gehry’s 8 Spruce Street; the Bank of America Tower by Cook + Fox; SOM’s One World Trade, the Calatrava West Concourse Tunnel and Grimshaw’s Fulton Street Transit Center.
Sundberg grew up in St Louis, studied in New York and Paris and graduated from NYU with a degree in photography. With a keen sensitivity to the way light and time impact the perception of space, David creates dynamic, engaging images which often appear in the design press.
David frequently complements still imagery with motion, and he has recently been collaborating on video production as an architectural cinematographer, offering an expert eye to enhance video documentation. He worked with the production team at Birdlings on a project for Telx and continues to work on video projects.
